CODE NAME: UNWANTED
A Full Sail University Project
This video displays a prototype level I created for the purposes of testing a mechanic I implemented into the game. This mechanic is a remote-controlled missile that is controlled by the player in flight. I also made specific targets, the red boxes, that need to be destroyed by the missile in order to open a door and advance. I made a door that opens after an array of enemies is destroyed as well as a gate that opens and closes constantly.
In this stage of my capstone project, my team was tasked with having our game content complete. One other teammate and I worked on designing a level together. This level incorporates mechanics previously introduced to allow the player to practice them and also introduces my remote-controlled missile mechanic. The video also shows my tracking of tasks I created for myself in Jira for this sprint.
This video shows a later iteration of the previously mentioned level. My Jira tasks for this sprint mostly involved fixing bugs and adding more player feedback. I made a cable with a point light attached that I could use to lead players to the RC missile targets and provide that feedback with the light changing color after the target is destroyed. I also fixed quite a few bugs that were discovered through testing.
